Day 1: Tangier – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen
6 days desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech begins with a warm welcome from our driver at the airport, port, or your hotel in Tangier. We will drive through the scenic Rif Mountains to reach the stunning town of Chefchaouen.
Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco. Stroll through its calm, blue-painted alleys, visit the vibrant main square, and soak in the relaxed mountain atmosphere before settling into your riad for the night.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, we leave the blue city behind and travel south toward Fes. Our first stop is Volubilis, where you will explore the remarkably preserved ancient Roman ruins and mosaics.
Next, we visit Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to see the magnificent Bab el Mansour gate. We then continue to Fes, where you will check into a traditional riad for a restful evening.

Day 3: Guided Walking Tour of Fes
Today is dedicated to exploring Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities. A local official guide will take you through the labyrinthine Medina of Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You will visit historical landmarks such as the Royal Palace gate, the ancient tanneries, and vibrant souks filled with local crafts. The tour provides a deep dive into the city’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara
We start our Tangier trip south early, passing through Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” due to its alpine architecture. We will also stop in Michlifen forest, where you might spot wild Barbary monkeys.
Continuing through the magnificent Ziz Valley, known for its endless palm groves, we reach Merzouga. Here, you will switch to camels for a trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset and spend the night in a desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes before trekking back to the village. We then drive to Rissani to visit its traditional market, if it happens to be a market day.
Our journey continues to the spectacular Todra Gorges, where you can walk beneath towering 300-meter high limestone cliffs. We end the day in the Dades Valley, known for its unique “monkey fingers” rock formations.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
On our final day, we travel to Ouarzazate, famous as the “Hollywood of Africa” for its many film studios. We then visit the renowned Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village that has served as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator.
Finally, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying panoramic views before dropping you off at your accommodation in Marrakech.
